MRPeasy

Cloud MRP for small manufacturers: production planning, inventory, purchase orders, shop floor

What it does

MRPeasy is a cloud MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning) system for small manufacturers (typically 10-200 employees). Covers production planning, inventory management, BOMs (bills of materials), work orders, purchase orders, sales order management, and shop-floor scheduling. Integrates to QuickBooks/Xero for accounting and to Shopify/WooCommerce for ecommerce order intake. Positioned as "real MRP without ERP complexity or price." Aimed at product businesses graduating from spreadsheets or Katana, without the budget for NetSuite or SAP Business One.

Key features

Production PlanningBOM ManagementPurchase OrdersInventoryShop Floor Reporting

Integrates with

Xero, QuickBooks, Shopify, WooCommerce, Pipedrive

Who this fits

  • Small manufacturers (contract manufacturing, custom fabrication, food production, cosmetics, electronics)
  • Kickstarter-graduated brands scaling to real production
  • Job-shop and make-to-order operations with real BOM complexity
  • Small manufacturers running QuickBooks/Xero and selling on Shopify
  • Multi-SKU physical product businesses tracking components + finished goods

Who it does NOT fit

  • Non-manufacturing businesses (this is a specialized tool)
  • Distribution-only ecommerce (Cin7, Zoho Inventory fit better)
  • Single-SKU dropshippers
  • Large enterprises with full ERP requirements (NetSuite, SAP)
  • Businesses whose "manufacturing" is just kitting one product

Pricing

- Starter: ~$49/user/mo, core MRP, inventory, production - Professional: ~$69/user/mo, adds work orders, matrix BOM - Enterprise: ~$99/user/mo, advanced routing, multi-warehouse - Unlimited: ~$149/user/mo, all features, priority support Per-user pricing. Discount for annual billing. No transaction fees. Free trial available.

Real gotchas

  • BOM accuracy is the whole game. Garbage BOMs produce garbage plans
  • Multi-level BOMs work but require discipline to keep in sync
  • Multi-warehouse and multi-currency add complexity
  • Integration to accounting (QuickBooks/Xero) requires cadence discipline. Sync errors bite
  • Shop-floor data entry needs to be enforced (barcode scanning helps)
  • Reporting is functional but not deep. Advanced dashboards belong in Looker Studio
  • Data migration in from a spreadsheet or another MRP is significant work
  • Not a fit if the buyer refuses to adopt real MRP discipline

Integrations that matter

QuickBooks Online, Xero, Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Magento, Amazon, ShipStation, Pipedrive, Salesforce, HubSpot, Zapier, Make, native REST API.

Otto’s take on this tool

Recommend MRPeasy when: business is a small manufacturer (10-200 people), producing multi-component physical products (electronics, cosmetics, food, custom fabrication, hardware); pain_point is "our BOMs are in spreadsheets and we're losing track of inventory" or "we're outgrowing Katana." Pairs with QuickBooks/Xero, Shopify, ShipStation, and a barcode-scanning stack. Do NOT recommend for non-manufacturers, distribution-only, single-SKU, or enterprises. Flag the real setup effort proactively; MRPeasy is a real MRP system, and buyers who expect a Shopify-app-level onboarding will be disappointed.
