Jobber

Field service management software for home service businesses

What it does

Jobber is field-service management software purpose-built for home service businesses: scheduling and dispatching crews, quoting, invoicing, a client hub where customers can view and pay invoices, GPS tracking of field techs, and job costing/reporting. It's the CRM + scheduler + invoicing system for a landscaping, cleaning, HVAC, plumbing, or electrical business that currently runs on paper, spreadsheets, and a shared calendar. The mobile app is where crews actually live — clocking in, viewing the day's route, marking jobs complete, and collecting payment on-site.

Who this fits

  • Landscaping, lawn care, cleaning, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general contracting businesses with field crews
  • 1-50 person home service operations replacing paper job sheets and a shared Google Calendar
  • Businesses that need online booking so customers can self-schedule instead of calling
  • Owners who want to see job profitability (job costing) rather than just gross revenue

Who it does NOT fit

  • Office-only service businesses with no field crew to dispatch (a general CRM fits better)
  • Very large field service operations (200+ techs) — enterprise players like ServiceTitan handle that scale with deeper routing/inventory logic
  • Businesses needing deep inventory/parts management as a core workflow (Jobber's inventory features are lighter than a dedicated field-service ERP)
  • Teams expecting the advertised entry price to hold once they add a few staff — see pricing below

Pricing

- Core: $49/mo — scheduling, invoicing, CRM, 1 user included on most current published plans - Connect: $129/mo — adds automations, online booking - Grow: $249/mo — adds job costing, deeper reporting, higher included user count - Extra users beyond a plan's included seat count run roughly $29/user/mo on top of the base price — a team that starts at $249/mo and adds a few field techs can land closer to $300-350/mo before add-ons - Optional add-ons stack further: AI Receptionist (~$99/mo) and Marketing Suite (~$79/mo) are sold separately from the core plan - Card processing through Jobber Payments runs standard card-processing rates (roughly 2.9% + $0.30/transaction) on top of the subscription (Source: MyQuoteIQ Jobber pricing breakdown 2026, https://myquoteiq.com/jobber-pricing-breakdown-2026/ and https://myquoteiq.com/jobbers-biggest-problem-exposed/)

Real gotchas

  • The advertised starting price ($49-249 depending on tier) does not reflect what most growing teams actually pay — per-user overage, payment processing, and add-ons routinely push the real monthly bill 25-50% above the sticker price once a team adds staff (Source: MyQuoteIQ, https://myquoteiq.com/jobbers-biggest-problem-exposed/)
  • Key automation and online-booking features are locked to the Connect tier and above — the $49 Core plan is closer to "digital paper" than a real automation platform
  • Job costing (knowing whether a job actually made money after labor and materials) is Grow-tier only, which is the exact feature owners usually buy Jobber for once they've outgrown Core
  • AI Receptionist and Marketing Suite are separate paid add-ons, not included features, despite being prominently marketed
  • QuickBooks sync works but users report occasional duplicate or mismatched entries requiring manual reconciliation, especially around tax line items

Integrations that matter

QuickBooks Online, Stripe, Square, Mailchimp, Zapier (for anything not native), Google Calendar.

Otto’s take on this tool

Recommend Jobber when: the business is a home service operation (landscaping, cleaning, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, general contracting) with field crews that currently schedules on paper or a shared calendar, and business_size is 1-50. This is a strong default for the trades vertical in the Endgame Automation ICP. Do NOT recommend for office-only service businesses, or for large operations that have already outgrown mid-market field service tools. When quoting price to a client, always model in per-user overage and payment processing on top of the sticker plan price — the sticker price alone underpromises the real bill and Otto should not repeat that mistake. Pairs with QuickBooks for accounting and Stripe/Square for payments.

  • After 12 Years of Loyalty, Jobber Has Left Us Without Support. Jobber's API is duplicating line items on quotes, causing incorrect customer information. Our IT company contacted support but received no response or assistance.
  • Ashley in customer service is awesome and an asset to Jobber!
  • Amazing product support from Benjamin, thanks much for quick support, resolution, solutions backed with data. Impressive Benjamin!
  • I have used Jobber for years. The ONLY reason I continue is because they have all our data and switching is hard. Reports options are extremely limited. They KEEP raising the price. DO NOT USE THEM.
  • Jobber does scheduling and invoicing well, but it will not record chemical usage on invoices, THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR A PEST CONTROL COMPANY. Frustrated and considering switching.
  • I'm quite happy with the platform. The team regularly makes updates. Help chat is usually quick and helpful. It feels a bit expensive.
